A digital business notebook for food service

iTefteri

In a café, bar or restaurant the transactions never stop: a register that the shift closes, consumables running out, suppliers to pay, table reservations, staff shifts. With iTefteri everyone records them the moment they happen — Cash for the register, Tefteri for income & expenses, Supplies for stock — and you see a clear picture on your phone, even when you're not at the shop.

  • The shift manager closes the day's cash register in Cash
  • Supplier expenses, consumables and small payments go into Tefteri as they happen
  • The owner, partners and managers see the same picture, each with their own role

What usually holds you back in food service

If you keep it "roughly in your head", the picture is gone by the end of the month.

  • Lots of small expenses throughout the day — consumables, suppliers, small payments — that you don't get around to writing down.
  • Several people asking "how much did we make today?" and in the end there are 3 different numbers at the register.
  • Shifts, hours and staff payments with no clean record of who worked when.
  • The owner has no picture when away from the store — and the phone calls begin.

How you use it in practice

One flow that doesn't slow you down.

  1. At closing the employee records the takings: cash vs card. The cash goes automatically into their own drawer (Cash). If there's a discrepancy, they close it with an adjust.
  2. When an expense comes up (supplier, consumables, a small payment) the person who pays it records it right then, with a category and payment method. If it's cash, it leaves their drawer automatically — no second entry.
  3. You build the shifts in the Work Schedule and the table reservations in the Calendar, with overlap checking.
  4. You see totals per category, history and period comparisons, from your phone or computer.

What changes in practice

Small changes that untie your hands.

  • You don't ask "how much did we make today". You see it.
  • You don't collect sticky notes at the end of the month.
  • No more different numbers for each person.
  • Everything you record shows up online instantly.

Everyone sees the same picture

Ideal when there's a team or business partners.

  • Owner
  • Partners
  • Store managers
You decide who gets in and what they see. Every store has its own URL and its own picture.

Example: a gyros / grill house

In a grill house everything moves fast. Orders, register, expenses, suppliers, staff. If you don't write them down right then, they're gone.

  • You record the day's income in a few seconds.
  • You record expenses (meat, bread, consumables) as they happen.
  • You see which day is busy and how the month is going compared with the previous one.
